Chapel
Step By Step uses both daily Bible class and weekly all-school chapel to help guide our students on their path of faith. Bible courses at Step By Step encourage students to approach life with a firm foundation in what the Bible actually says, and use the Bible and its teachings as a guide for both salvation and daily decision-making. The non-denominational Christian instruction of basic Biblical truths helps students develop Christian values & actions in personal relationships and fosters a sense of concern & empathy for others, as well as citizenship & personal development.
The weekly chapel times are an opportunity to experience praise and worship with students of all ages as fellowship with the body of Christ, as well as a chance to celebrate God's love and the many blessings He has given each of us.
Swimming
We are proud to offer a variety of activities including swimming in our covered outdoor pool. In addition to using the pool for Physical Education classes, we offer swim lessons during the summer for children (potty trained to 13) of all skill levels. Our toddler pool is the perfect place for little ones to gain confidence in the water. Contact us to schedule a tour of our facilities and learn more about our swim program.
Gardening
We believe that learning should be an exciting adventure. Our on-site garden is the perfect place for students to learn about God's creations in a way that is fun and engaging. We encourage our students to explore the garden, touch the soil, and learn about the different types of plants and wildlife that inhabit it. The garden is lovingly maintained by dedicated volunteers who share our passion for educating young minds.
Sports
Sports are an important part of childhood development, and at Step By Step we offer Preschool students the chance to participate in our Soccer Shots or TOTS basketball team. These programs promote teamwork and sportsmanship, while allowing kids to have fun and stay active. Contact us today to sign up your child!
Art
Our art program nurtures the creative spirit within every child, guiding them from their earliest expressions to refined artistic statements in middle school. Through each brush stroke and sculpted clay piece, students learn to see the world through the lens of gratitude and wonder, reflecting the beauty of God's creation in their unique works.
ASL & Spanish
We believe in the importance of providing a comprehensive education to our students. Our curriculum includes instruction in American Sign Language for infants and toddlers, and Spanish language classes for preschool, elementary, and middle school students. We strive to ensure that our students are well-prepared for their future academic and professional pursuits.
Field Trips
Along with classroom instruction, we also offer periodic field trips that take children to fun, engaging, and educational trips outside of the classroom. These experiences help children develop a love of learning that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Band
We offer a variety of extracurricular activities, including our Instruments of Praise beginner band which is open to all 9-year-old students and older, regardless of previous experience. We are dedicated to helping our students discover their passions and achieve their full potential.
